How to install

With Forge Super installed, the button above opens the app on this extension, where you press Install. Nothing is installed until you do.

You can also open the Extensions panel in the app and search for Icons modern material. The extension's id is icons-modern-material.

Zed Icons

A comprehensive and visually appealing icon theme for the Zed Editor, bringing a fresh look to your file explorer.

This theme is designed to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing, providing a wide range of icons for different file types and technologies.

Note: To add your preview, create a media folder in your repository, add a screenshot named preview.png, commit it, and the image will appear here.

Installation

Once this extension is published to the Zed extension registry, you will be able to install it by:

  1. Going to File > Settings > Extensions.
  2. Searching for Zed Icons.
  3. Clicking Install.

In the meantime, you can install it manually:

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/JosMiguelMM/zed-icons.git

  2. Move the folder to the Zed extensions directory: The directory is located at ~/.config/zed/extensions.

    # Create the directory if it doesn't exist
mkdir -p ~/.config/zed/extensions

# Move the theme
mv zed-icons ~/.config/zed/extensions/

  3. Select the Theme in Zed:

    • Open Zed.
    • Go to File > Settings > Theme...
    • Select Zed Icons from the list of icon themes.
