How to install

With Forge Super installed, the button above opens the app on this extension, where you press Install. Nothing is installed until you do.

You can also open the Extensions panel in the app and search for hledger. The extension's id is hledger.

hledger-zed

Zed extension for hledger journal files with LSP integration.

Installation

From Zed Extensions

Open Zed
Go to Extensions (Cmd+Shift+X on macOS)
Search for "hledger"
Click Install

Manual Installation

Clone this repository
Open Zed and go to Extensions
Click "Install Dev Extension" and select the cloned directory

LSP Binary

The extension automatically downloads hledger-lsp from GitHub Releases when needed.

If you prefer to install it manually:

Syntax Highlighting

Basic syntax highlighting is provided by the built-in tree-sitter grammar and works out of the box with any Zed theme — no LSP required.

For enhanced highlighting, enable semantic tokens from hledger-lsp by adding the following to your settings.json:
