Atomic Dark for Zed

License: MIT Zed Version

The darkest take on your favorite themes: Atom, Catppuccin, Material, Afterglow, Rosé Pine, and Vague—re-imagined for OLED screens with enhanced contrast.

Atomic Dark is an OLED-optimized theme family for the Zed editor, featuring multiple syntax flavors designed for deep blacks and vibrant, readable code.

Features

  • OLED Optimized: Pure black and deep charcoal backgrounds (#0f1115) to save power and look stunning on OLED displays.
  • High Contrast: Every text, syntax, and UI element is tested to meet WCAG AA (≥4.5:1) contrast, with dim elements (comments, hints, placeholders) held to a ≥3:1 floor. Markdown table gridlines are legible, not invisible.
  • Multiple Flavors: Choose the syntax highlighting that fits your workflow.
  • Polished UI: Consistent styling across the editor, panels, and terminal.
